"When good enough just isn't good enough."

Graphics

Graphics are what make the world go round. There is truth in this statement. When you get up in the morning, you look at your alarm clock to turn it off, andyou see the numbers on the clock. When you go to work you see advertisements, billboards, signs, etc. ALL designed to catch your interest in order to get a prescribed response from you. They tell you to buy something or go somewhere or do something. Coffee ads tell you to drink coffee, car ads tell you to buy cars, but it's the way they get your attention that makes the difference. To this end you must first find out from your client what exactly it is they are trying to tell people. For instance; if you are a travel company you want to show a client a far away vision of a fantasy venue where everything is larger than life and the entire world waits on your every command. Or if you are selling cars you want to show a perspective buyer why YOUR brand of cars are so much better than the average. This is the realm of the graphics illustrator. As an illustrator it is your job to turn your clients descriptions into a vision of exactly what the public at large wants. Nothing does that better than graphic art. The cool part about this is nothing is impossible. With the technology today we can impart almost any vision , be it beautiful or grotesque, but to coin a phrase "it's all good" so use you imagination; it's your best and most important tool.
